The Senior Materials Officer is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and coordinating aircraft materials required to support scheduled and unscheduled Heavy Maintenance activities. The role ensures the timely and cost-effective availability of parts, components, and repair solutions to minimize aircraft downtime and support on-time aircraft release.

المهام

  • Review material requirements during maintenance inputs and raise purchase orders to secure required spares on time and at optimum cost.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Engineering teams to resolve pre-input material shortages and support maintenance schedules.
  • Source and procure aircraft parts, components, repairs, loans, and exchanges in compliance with company requirements.
  • Monitor material shortages and repetitive defects, providing recommendations to Planning and Strategic Procurement teams to mitigate future risks.
  • Represent Materials during daily operational meetings and proactively manage potential work stoppages, critical shortages, and AOG situations.
  • Conduct regular purchase order reviews to optimize costs, delivery performance, and supplier effectiveness.
  • Liaise with OEMs, repair vendors, and internal stakeholders to develop repair and material support solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support long-term solutions for recurring supply chain challenges.
  • Support the administration and performance monitoring of supplier, repair, and maintenance support contracts.
  • Contribute to departmental projects and other activities as assigned by the Department Manager

المتطلبات

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent technical degree with minimum 5 years aviation inventory management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft spares procurement, repairs, loans and exchanges, PBH, pooling arrangements, and supply chain best practices.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation, including IPC, CMM, AMP, and MPD.
  • Familiarity with repair management, warranty claims, RSPLs, and OEM support agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working within ERP/MRO systems (AMOS, SAP, TRAX, Ramco, Wings, MXI or equivalent) is preferred.
